The briefing starts at 7:00am and at 8:00am you embark on the search of the mountain gorillas in the dense jungles of Bwindi for the gorilla family you have been allocated to. Your group will constitute of eight people and two/three armed rangers who are there to ensure that you are safe throughout the tracking process since the forest has other mammals including African elephants. One of the armed rangers leads the group as he is communicating with trackers who went to the forest earlier to track the movement of gorillas from the point where they slept last night to where they might be and will guide the guides on which routes to take. After you have located gorillas, you will have one full hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed and go on with their daily life. The trekking can take two hours to Eight hours but one hours with these great apes is a life changing experience one. We recommend you carry a camera to capture this moment and preferably an extra SD card and battery so that you do not miss capturing this lifetime experience.
